Takoma Park - Azalea City
$25.00 - $200.00
Help save Takoma Park's beloved, independently owned small businesses with your very own Azalea City print! Due to the COVID-19 crisis, many businesses are closed and others are running very limited hours and services. There is no end in sight and they need our help.
This print is letterpress printed by hand one at a time on an antique 19th-century printing press right here in Takoma Park. The slight variations in color and texture of each print is what makes the letterpress printing process unique. Each print measures 8"x10" and comes signed and numbered.
If you would like to donate more than the base price of $25, please select an option from the dropdown menu above. All proceeds after a $15 production fee will be donated to the Takoma Micro-Grant Program and Citywide Small Business Mini-Grant Program.
One of the city’s earliest residents was Benjamin Y. Morrison, the first director of the National Arboretum. Many of his azaleas can still be found across the community, thus Takoma Park’s reputation as ‘Azalea City.’
